Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) – Secondary School

 Permanent role, Full Time

Ideally Required for September 2025 but will consider January 2026.

 

Job Purpose:

St George's International School is seeking an ambitious and dedicated SENCO to lead the strategic development and day-to-day management of our SEND provision in Secondary. This is a key management role with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within our diverse and inclusive international community.

The SENCO will work closely with students, staff, families, and external agencies to identify and remove barriers to learning, champion inclusive practice, and ensure students with additional needs receive the tailored support they require to thrive.

  • Strong academic background, work ethic, well-organised having excellent interpersonal skills
  • The candidate should be dynamic, enthusiastic, and well-qualified, holding as a minimum a bachelor's degree in education with a SENCO qualification or equivalent is a must, and further post-graduate study in SEND and Inclusion (i.e. Master's or NASENCo)
  • Experience with exam access arrangements is essential.
  • The successful candidate will be someone with strong leadership and good organisational skills who can take responsibility for a committed team of Academic Support Assistants.
